According to Stretty News, a club source has claimed that till Bruno Fernandes is fit and firing, it’s unlikely Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will play Donny van de Beek as an attacking midfielder.
The boss is not confident about
playing the Dutchman in a deeper role, which raises questions about why he was
signed in the first place.
The source has added that Van de
Beek and his representatives will hold talks with Manchester United in the
coming weeks.
They expect to get a clear picture
by December to understand whether it’s best for Van de Beek to stay or leave
Old Trafford for good.
Against Villarreal in the
Champions League, the Dutchman was ignored by the gaffer likewise appearing as
an unused substitute against Everton in the 1-1 draw on Saturday at Old
Trafford.
