CBS is going all out to make Saturday's Champions League final
between Liverpool and Madrid the best possible show. This year's
Champions League announcers and pregame show have been revealed by the
American broadcaster, and you won't want to miss it or the Champions
League final opening ceremony with Camila Cabello.
Champions League finals don't get much bigger than this. Sure, there's the Super Bowl, but it's only popular in the United States. Even though the World Cup is special, it only takes place every four years. Whenever it comes to annual events, the Champions League final is the must-watch event of the year, especially when you have a matchup like Liverpool versus Real Madrid.
Over the past decade or so, American viewers have had a rocky
relationship with the Champions League final on television. There were
so many stupefying decisions made by TNT and Fox that it's hard to
recall all of them. Thanks to CBS, the competition has generally been treated respectfully.
The Champions League final will air this year on CBS in English and Univision in Spanish, both over-the-air networks. The CBS broadcast will begin at 1:30 p.m. EST, 90 minutes before kickoff.
